Shelf — Resale Inventory & Schedule C

Sourcing trips, cost allocation to the cent, storage map, CSV reconcile, P&L, and an IRS Schedule C built by form line number.

These are captures of the running application with its own demo data — 230 items, 195 listings, 145 orders written by the included seeder. Nothing is mocked up or retouched. The figures you see are what that dataset actually produces.

What it looks like

The Schedule C report, by form line number.
The Schedule C report, by form line number. Part I gross receipts, Part II expenses and Part III cost of goods sold, each against its real line. Above it a pre-flight check names the things most likely to make a filing wrong — here, 3 sold orders linked to a $0-cost item, which under-counts line 42.
The home dashboard.
The home dashboard. Every queue that needs clearing, with zero-count queues still shown so “all clear” is unambiguous rather than an empty screen.
The item table.
The item table. SKUs, costs, storage bin and lifecycle status, filterable — the surface you actually live in day to day.

What I ran before shipping it

  • The test suite passes — 601 of them — and the linter is clean.
  • All 36 pages load. I asked Flask for its own route table rather than writing one out, then opened every page on it: all 200, no console errors.
  • 9 Alembic migrations apply from an empty database, and the seeder writes two fictional years of trading in one command.
  • Run once on the source tree, then again out of the packaged zip in a clean virtualenv — because those are not always the same thing.

Not included

  • No authentication of any kind. It is meant to be bound to 127.0.0.1 on a machine you control. Anyone who can reach the port can read and change everything.
  • No eBay or Etsy API integration. Sales arrive by CSV import or manual entry. Nothing syncs.
  • No sold-comps lookup. The design document records it as a deliberate v1 exclusion.
  • No refund entry screen and no item delete route — both stated on the listing because you will find them.
  • Bookkeeping output, not tax advice.
