What this wizard does

Use this when you're moving your shop between installs — for example, standing up a fresh Heroku app, pointing the database somewhere new, or restoring after a backup.

  1. Drop in the files you exported from your old shop (items CSV and/or photos ZIP).
  2. The wizard will tell you exactly what it's about to do before touching anything.
  3. If it looks right, you click Apply. If it doesn't, you click Cancel, and nothing is changed.
Upload your backup
The file you get from Export Items CSV. Rows whose SKU already exists will be updated; new SKUs will be added.
The file you get from Export Images ZIP. Photo filenames can be item ID (42.jpg, 42_2.jpg) or SKU (VNT-0042.jpg, VNT-0042_2.jpg). SKU matching is recommended — IDs will change on a new install, SKUs won't.
Uploading these files only stores them in a temporary folder. Nothing is imported until you review and confirm.
